Mating Target Overview

Introduction

JFD's Mating Target for submersibles is used primarily for the repeated rehearsal of manned submersible rescue missions.

JFD's mating targets are used for Submarine Rescue Vehicle (SRV) training with the United Kingdom Submarine Rescue System (UKSRS), NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) and Australia.

Portability

The Mating Target has been designed to be easily transported and very hard-wearing, enabling Submarine Rescue teams to practice with regularity and with little set-up time. The Mating Target can be transported within a single 10-foot ISO container.

Adjustable Mating Angle

Practice mating at different angles by changing the pitch of the mating plate. DSAR 500 Class vehicles were designed to mate at angles up to 60 degrees, and, using our Mating Target, we were able to demonstrate it too. Find out more about DSAR.
